Set Up Aliased Nameservers

Aliased name servers allow our resellers to completely hide LFC Hosting from WHOIS lookups on their clients' domains.

LFC Hosting can provide you with a pair of aliased name servers for $5/USD a month to cover the cost of two static IP addresses. This will allow you to have your domain or domains point to your own name servers, for example:

ns1.yourdomain.com

ns2.yourdomain.com

You require your own IPs as opposed to simply aliasing ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com to our name servers because the IP addresses must also resolve in the opposite manner to the corresponding name server.

If you do not want your own name servers but do not wish to use NS1.LOOSEFOOT.COM and NS2.LOOSEFOOT.COM, we provide with...

ns1.gdom.net

ns2.gdom.net

To have your private aliased nameservers set up, simply file a support ticket and include the domain you would like to use. We will then assign you two IP addresses and set up the correct DNS entries on our name servers. Once this is complete, you can go to your domain registrar and change the nameservers from ours to your own.
